Met Éireann has issued a status orange warning for Galway and Mayo ahead of intense rainfall this afternoon.
The heavy downpours could result in flooding, poor visibility and dangerous travelling conditions.
The warning, issued this morning by Met Éireann, will come into effect at 1pm, lasting just four hours.
Only Galway and Mayo are affected by today’s orange weather warning.
