Tom Kenny’s Old Galway

Tom Kenny has been publishing old photographs of Galway every week in the Galway Advertiser since the early 1970s, and this year marks his 50th year doing this.

This exhibition will be a celebration of this and will feature images of Galway’s changing streetscapes, the fairs and markets, some of the games and pastimes, the different styles of dress and some of the characters of yesteryear – a kind of trawl through the city’s heritage.
The exhibition will be funded by Galway City Council and all will be welcome to come and view the collection.
