Scottish fiddle player Ryan Young live in Galway

If you’re a fan of Martin Hayes, you’ll want to hear why he’s championing one of the most exciting voices in traditional music.
Ryan Young is a multi award-winning Scottish fiddle player whose music is deeply rooted in tradition but full of fresh energy, emotion, and invention. His playing has been described as powerful, hypnotic, and completely unique – taking listeners on an immersive musical journey.
⭐ His debut album was produced by four-time GRAMMY winner Jesse Lewis (notable for his work with Béla Fleck and Yo-Yo Ma)
⭐ His new album (out May 2026) is produced by Martin Hayes, who also features on the record
⭐ Multiple award nominations including Musician of the Year (2025 Scots Trad Awards)
This is Ryan’s first performance in Galway and he’ll be joined by guitarist Stevie Brynes.
