No further deaths have been reported to the NPHET today, but 67 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the Republic.
None of the sixty-seven cases confirmed today are in Galway – where the total number of cases remains 501.
The increase in today’s number of positive test results means there are now 26,995 confirmed cases of the disease in the State.
The number of people who have sadly died due to Covid remains 1,774.
Of today’s cases, 35 are men and 32 are women, while 70% are under 45 years of age.
Thirty-eight are confirmed to be associated with outbreaks or are close contacts of a confirmed case.
Eighteen cases are in Dublin, 17 in Kildare, 9 in Clare, 5 in Limerick, and the rest of the 18 cases are in Carlow, Cork, Donegal, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Tipperary, Wexford, Wicklow.
